Dr. Maad Al-Saati was recently appointed executive director general of King Abdullah University Hospital at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
Al-Saati completed a bachelor’s degree in medicine and another bachelor’s degree in surgery from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences at King Khalid University in 2003, and completed his internship at King Fahd National Guard Hospital in 2004.
Between 2004 and 2006, he was a general surgery resident in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, and he finished a course at Alliance Francaise.
He was an orthopedic resident in a number of hospitals in France, including Lyon Sud Hospital Center between 2006 and 2007, Hospital Edouard Herriot between 2007 and 2008, Hopital Femme Mere Enfant between 2008 and 2009 and Hospital Pierre Wertheimer in 2009.
Al-Saati did a fellowship in knee surgery at Hospital La Croix-Rousse, Centre Albert Trillat in 2011, where he was an orthopedic resident. He also did a research fellowship from John Hopkins Hospital in the US in 2011.
Between 2012 and 2013, he did a clinical fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Between 2014 and 2015, he worked as a consultant orthopedic surgeon and was the sports medicine chairman of the rehabilitation department at Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Aziz Hospital in Riyadh. He has worked as a consultant orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine consultant at King Abdullah University Hospital at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University. He is also vice president of Saati Medical Center in Riyadh.
